Default RE: FLYING SCALE AIRPLANES WITH SCALE SPEED?

Scale Speed? Aren't we over doing this a bit??? What's next ... do we get some poos guy to sit out there with a radar gun clocking the planes inorder to satisfy some anal morbid curosity? I think for my perspective, the criteria should be ... is the plane flying in a manor that is consistant with the plane and the period? If one were trying to achieve such scale spped I would think one would need a backdrop in the scale that the model is in. Otherwize what do you really have as a scale point of reference? The other issue would be the airplane vs the thrust to weight ratio. I would hazard a guess that the models being flown are far more over powered than the original airplanes. This seems to me to be at the very heart of the debate.
