I've always thought for a long time that there has always been a lot of elitism regarding jets - in fact I seem to remember a thread on JJ's with a suggestion that if you couldn't afford a turbine then you wasn't actually capable of running one safely!! Since when has ability been measured by how much cash someone's has? Simjet had many problems with their first turbines (I know, I flew their early engines), now they are regarded with esteem. JetJoe is going through the same process of trial and error, given time and opportunity they may be an excellent budget or even mainstream solution - I hope so, competition is always good for the consumer.
