Let's see the german magazine test. Print it here.
Dangerous? How?
Curtis,
Never seen a JJ turbine, so can't answer all your questions, but can answer a few.
Printing the German magazine test article on RCU is what's called a copyright violation. If the magazine choses to post the article to the web, then someone could legally link to it, otherwise posting the article is a violation of the copyright holders rights.
Dangerous how? Well, I personally have seen hot wheels come apart and hot wheel blades punch the sides of the case, the sides of the airplane and keep going. Centripidal force at 160K RPM is huge which makes marginally constructed hot wheels dangerous. I personally considered a JJ turbine so I sent an email to both the factory rep in China and to Justin asking who certified their hot wheels and never got an answer from either. I decided (for you trolls, that means this is my personal opinion) they had something to hide, so paid the extra for a Wren instead just so I know I'd be getting a certified and tested hot wheel.
I don't beleive any such magazine article exists, or if it does, it's a gross mistranlation, like "giant lawsuit against jetjoe". It's fiction. Show me the magazine, and feel free to ask permission from the publisher to print it. I sincerely doubt the guy who posted that "factoid" was concerned about the copyright issue with the german magazine, I think he was more concerned about being caught out making up fishie stories! Prove me wrong, show me the article!
Also, your knowledge of copyright law is somewhat limited, you CAN quote a magazine article.
It's your choice as to what you want to buy, no problem. Pay more for a Wren, you will get a better engine and better support. Got the extra money? Go for it. Absolutely. You are NOT going to get the same quality and support from Jetjoe that you get from Wren.
Again..."Dangerous!" Right from the start, I have heard many people talk about how dangerous this engine is.
Yet...I have not heard of ONE actual case. Not ONE. NONE. Just some people telling lies. Prove me wrong.
On the OTHER hand...I HAVE heard of other major brands losing blades or seizing. Popular brands, too.
