I've been thinking along the same lines as you... I'm kicking the idea of leaving the wing tips off and making the rudder more like the Sig SE or maybe an Edge style rudder. Can you post some pics and also let me know how your contender does without the wing tips? I haven't started building mine yet and would really be interested in how the contender does without the tips. [8D]
