You need nitro proof paint that will stick to the CF blades, and you need to check the balance on them afterwards. If you are careful to spray them both evenly, you may get lucky and not have to rebalance them. I'm sure the flat paint would have more drag, but not sure how much more, or how important that would be... I would think it wouldn't be a problem, though.
