Sort of what I do. I have a Plano #737 tackle box that I keep all my modelling tools in, also has room for spare parts, extra props, battery charger, volt meter and spare battery packs. My field box is the standard thing with a shelf on one end for a fuel jug and a compartment for the field battery and power panel on the other. I keep my electric starter, glow starters, prop reamers and a couple of tools for adjusting the needles, chicken stick, and heavy gloves for gas engine starting. I always bring both to the field, it isn't much of a hassle, and I'm prepared for just about anything (except rebuilding a crash)

I take the field box to the starting tables and leave the other one at the shed, where we have work tables. I'm happy to lend tools to anybody there, always get them back. Most everyone else there is the same way.
