Default A Few Questions For The Experts

HI, our club pres. and I are about to present a proposal to our local high school principal. We want to describe the joys of modelling, and list the other related aspects of aviation that one can get into through modelling...Like what the students can learn through the process of building and flying model aircraft. i.e. Aerodynamics, wood working, composites, and all the other vast inter-related topics that perhaps our future astronauts and pilots etc. might be interested in. We are an R/C only club, and want to spur interest in young people in the sciences of the aerospace industry/profession...The responsability of controlling an actual flying model (not just an image on a computer screen) The physics, etc. etc. etc... Any additional info would be considered, as I know I left out a lot of things here (time and space constraints) Let's hear from anyone interested in getting involved in the education of the youth of America in this fine hobby/sport/artform that we call "model airplanes"...THANK YOU! Regards, Tom...
