Default I promise this was not me...
...although it sounds like something I would do.

Anyway, a guy in our club was joining the wings on an ARF and decided to cut the dihedral joiner in half, then glue each half into a wing, then glue the wing together.

I didn't see the crash, but heard about it the next day as I was looking through the wreckage in the trash can at the club house.
