New OS 30 Surpass
Not SO fine of a scale... a five pound postal scale with 1/2 big marked graduations. But it's proven pretty accurate relative to all the other motors I've wieghed, they come almost exactly to what the magazine reviewers record on an engine review.
I'd have to dig my own records out, but I couldn't give you a 1/10th oz. resolution. However, I can tell you from memory that the 26 was 9.6 to 9.9oz, and I would bet that would be very accurate. And I've just found my record that the Magnum 30 I ran wieghed 9.6oz, on the same scale. I'm assuming this was also with muffler. Allowing for variations of the scale, I'd say for our purposes the two weigh virtually the same.
But the OS ran much cleaner, and hardly blew any fuel out the exhaust. The Magnum seems to run like a big roudy pig. But it also seems to need a lot more break in. After that, perhaps it will be a great engine. There seems to be mixed opinions out there on these.
