Default RE: Whobbies Team Pro or Magnum 57 or Manta Ray?

The larger the boat the more weight and the more wetted surface you will have which in turn will require MORE Power to make it go faster. The larger the hull, the slower it will be. The current LS27 Mono Record is around 75 mph with an M&D Zenoah powered 39" AC Model Boats Lazer. The XLS36 Record is with a 45" AC Razor Mono with an engine that was designed for 55"-65" Hulls.

I also like to jump wakes off the back of my 27' Cruiser. I have found the larger the Hull the easier it is to stuff one in a wave. The AC Lazer 45" is a great boat in rough water and just as much fun to jump waves with. The bad thing is that in really calm water it's about 5 mph slower then when it runs in some good chop. I also had a ball with a 43" AC Wild Thing jumping waves and playing in the BIG Water. I disagree with Harvick. I myself would rather have a Team Pro then a Magnum 57 in some good chop to play around with.

Good Luck
