Default RE: Another Beginner Build - Sig Somethin' Extra

This plane is a fun one whether or not it will knife edge. I have to say a low and slow knife edge does look great coming down the runway. The SE is just a fun all around plane to fly and can be just a little floater. I don't think the wing loading is that high, so you can have LOADS of fun with some head wind. I remember one time I was flying mine before I totaled it and I was in like 15mph winds and I was flying backwards. It was crazy! It's awesome just to see a plane floating horizontally.

Kiswa, what prop did you say you have on that engine. I switched to a 12.25x3.75 and was kinda hovering. I still needed a little more power, put my OS 46AX would really pull along that plane.

Hope you can get some flights on it. When mine maidened I was telling the guy that was maidening it, "Man, it really flies." He said, "Well isn't that what a plane is supposed to do?" That was supid of me to say, but to see my plane fly was great. I'm you are more honored because you actually built yours and mine was an ARF.

Get to flying, you're going to love this thing.
