luke, there are about 50 different varients of a WWII spit color skeam i could think of..... There are probably that many varients in battle of britain colors alone for that matter. You need to figure out what mk. number that spit is, then start researching theatre of operation, squadron, and full scale proto you intend to model. However as spitfire said, if your going to be sa stubborn ass about it and A. destroy the scale look overmotoring it, and B. tear it up trying to fly it to early, dont worry about scale detail(especialy the motor........im cringing at the thought of the butchery to that cowl)
heres an idea.......spend some time making the plane look scale instead of destroying it......
