RE: ParkZone Typhoon for a beginner 3-D Pilot?
Get Real,
When you have the time, post a photo of the motor conversion to get an idea how it all goes together. Also, you mentioned you had a different landing gear on your Edge. Did you make your own? I modified mine so I could take off and land on grass fields better. Just eliminated the wheel covers, put 2" light foam wheels on it and raised it a bit to better protect propeller.
I did a lot better with the Edge and Typhoon this afternoon. There was no wind so it was easier to see what the control inputs were doing with no wind. I'll get there sooner or later!
I'm not much for speed right now. I just want the motor to be powerful enough to be able to hover.
I also fly a Parkzone Stryker which I can get going pretty fast. Or, at least, fast enough for me. I really like my Stryker and I fly it totally stock. No mods. Eventually I'll move to higher voltage and lipo's, but still having fun with it the way it is.
Thanks for your help again and let's see that motor conversion!
