Jmir.. the photos of motor conversion are in my member gallery with basic discriptions of each step with each pic/this conversion is fully reversable should you choose to go back to stock set up.. i dont think youd go back to stock set up though. heres link to the motor im using
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByC...rodID=EFLM1100 at the bottom of the page is a pdf download with all the motor specs for there current line of available motors. the conversion is fairly easy and takes probally 10 to 20 minutes/cutting the white motor cone is most time consuming/use a sharp exacto.. or slightly heat the exacto to make cuts go easier. im still using stock esc and have had no proplems and probally have well over 10 flights on it with this set up. my next modification will probally be on both the edge and the typhoon.. im gonna use a aluminum prop adapter so i can use apc props/ive already cut a extra prop shaft for the typhoon and when my local shop has prop adapters in i'll cut the eflite gearbox shaft where the threads begin and secure prop adapter there. this should be very close to rite clearance for cowl on edge/if not i can alter size of motor stick to compensate for proper length. post pics of your plane when ya can. as for the landing gear its made by tnt and is a replacement for the e-flite mini edge/i had some qaulity issues with it and im waiting for a response on it so i just used the gear on parkflyer for now. i dont have the rite size of aluminum stock to cut my own gear and was lazy and ordered the tnt gear. im definatley gonna cut my own gear next time.. was $18.00 bucks before tax or shipping for tnt gear/i could get a few different sizes of aluminum stock for that much/i was cleaning laundry room and came across some stock that is just about the rite size/when i get around to making the gear i'll post a pic. good luck with your edge.
