Jacko, I'm not sure how the GP42 will do on a grass strip with that plane.........I think a lot depends on how high & thick the grass is.....
Trike gear planes aren't too bad on grass......just keep some up elevator while you're rolling out to keep the nose gear light......when you pick up speed and the plane gets lighter on the wheels, you can slowly release the up elevator (so that the plane doesn't take off too early)......get up to flying speed and then take off. This method works good for me.
