THe Brits,(also flown by Canadians enlisted with them) were the poor suckers, that got that, Junk..BREWSTER, was the worst(rarest) of ,the MANUFACTURERS that built the CORSAIR....136 built, in1943......599 built, in 1944,,that`s when ,their contract, was terminated...My guess is ,since all the MANUFACTURERS had the same parts suppliers and Blue-prints..BREWSTER, must have been greedy, and was taking short-cuts to result in a poor quality plane...just a quess
