Default RE: GP P-6E Curtis Hawk

I haven't been paying attention to the adds lately, and at our club meeting last night I mentioned how I had a goldberg hawk, and Maratuka kit (unbuilt), and one of the guys said, "have you seen the new GP ARF?" You could've knocked me over with a feather! I've loved the P-6e since I was young and built a Monogram 1/72 plastic model. In fact, I bought one off old monogram models off of ebay to build, and I have a carved wooden P-6e on my desk and several larger scale plastic models.

Have I mentioned that THIS IS MY FAVORITE AIRPLANE!

Anyway...came home from the meeting last night, looked it up on GP's page, and promptly went on Towers web page and put one on order. I had been thinking about ordering a Super Stearman all year long, but kept putting it off. Glad I waited now!

I'm thinking about putting my OS FS120 pumper on it, or maybe the FS91. Either way I'm gonna use a Slimline Inverted Pitts muffler to keep the cowl cutting to a minimum. I was even thinking of trying an RCV, but I don't think they make an in cowl muffler for this.

Can't wait until someone gets one (especially me!) so we can see what it's like.
