That's not new .... I'm considering buying one of these, just to get a preview of the technology (no, I won't be installing it in anything giant scale). I did hear a rumour (and have read elsewhere) that these systems are quite directional. We may be in a position where old habits must change and we'll be trying (intentionally emphasized) to point our antenna at our aircraft instead of trying to avoid it like we have been doing.
