Oh, so it sounds like yours has the capability of doing stereoscopic 3D. And yes, it's sort of an interlaced signal, where the video sent to the glasses alternates... left signal, right signal, left signal, etc... The glasses lock on to this and show the correct image to the correct eye. This is only possible if you have two video feeds though. If you have just one video feed, it is sent to both eyes and the image looks "flat". I'm not sure what the "simulated 3D" is that you spoke of.
