The problem with a little boat in a big lake (with small waves) is that it's going to spend a lot of time upside down or under water....especially if you are going to make it a really fast little boat. If you want speed on rough water you will have to go with a real deep V, not the shallow V of an AJ. You will also need for it to be 30+".

You could get a MHZ Lizard Xtreme hull and put an 800 motor in it with 24 cells and it should be pretty quick. If you want to go faster in light waves you'll have to go gas/nitro.
