yee-ha, I did some checking and .40LA weighs the same as the .32SX. I tried a 10" prop with the stock landing gear. I found a less than perfect 3 point landing or any bounce at all resulted in a 9'' prop. With a 9" prop on that LA, it should work fine. I don't know if the supplied motor mount will work with your LA though. For landing, as mentioned earlier, you have to leave the throttle cracked and fly this plane in. My friend found just how unforgiving it is on his final turn with a dead stick. It just quit flying and dropped straight down. It will take a bit more runway than a floater like a trainer.
That's odd. I've been running a 10x5 with my Webra .32. No ground contact unless I really mess up.
