Can you handle it? Yes, Are you more likely to crack it up than someone with more flying time? Yep! Don't mean to burst your bubble, but I've seen guys who have to move up fast, and it sometimes gets expensive for them, or they get in a mode where they're afraid to do anything but laps. When you're in the early learning stages it pays not to get too attached to a plane, hone your rebuilding skills and wring it out for all it's worth for a while. Then move on to something hotter.
