Absolutely not, the battery will die sooner but once you get this sucker up about 300 feet or so and you cut the power and catch a thermal , true control will take over and you will not be to interested in flying full throttle all the time.

I lost mine I believe to being shot down. I hopped it up to a 400 motor with ESC. (throttle control) I had a ball with this bird and if it is $60 now I will by one next week. I have tons of spare parts.
