Default RE: Vectorflight Edge 540 build

rcfury,

Yep inverted motor for me. I like the clean look. I keep doubting as to whether this TT .91 will be enough for this model though. I can always swap in a bigger powerplant later I guess. Maybe I should order up another cowl in case (when) I decide to go that route.

Got the joiners ready to glue in. Gonna get into that when I have some wide eyed time to spend on it. Seems I got blessed by not having to do much sanding to get the joiners to seat inside the wing panels. Just ran them in and out a number of times each until the would seat deep enough then did a dry fit in the fuse...WOW!! glad I did that! Goin by the measurement I would have been about 1/16" too tight in the wing panels and would have had to take a carpenter's clamp to the airfield with me to pull the fuse together everytime I put the wings on! Anyway I'm going to allow the 1/16" before gluing. Just nervous about the epoxy getting everywhere now. Should I wax the wood on the left panel joiner so that it doesn't get glued to the center section while the epoxy sets up???

Thanks and God bless,
