I set up the flaperons on mine and flew it today. It seems to have slowed things down a bit, but not extremely noticeably. I didn't bounce quite as hard. Not sure if it's because of the flaps, or simply due to practice. The thing just seems to drop, though it probably mostly my experience. I've mainly dabbled in top wing trainers, so this was a bit of a big step for me.

So, in summary, the flaps don't hurt, but they still don't turn this into a trainer by any means.
