you could also use a thunderbird 18 amp esc, by castle creations, they're new and only $32. stick mounted motor is best, so you may need to get something for this. i used a big himax outrunner on mine as well as a himax motor and gearbox, and himax outrunners come with stick mount adapters. i get over 70mph from mine and it flys beautifully, one of my best planes
