RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
Thanks for the info on receiver/transmitter problems.
But I have a question: have any of you compared the Twist 40 with the UCD 46? I bought a UCD 60 and put a Saito 1.00 in it. It flew like a dog, unexciting, BIG, but unexciting. I have a Twist with a .45 SuperTigre and a Twist with a Saito 82 (incredible!). I have a Model Tech Extra (ST .45) --just to do everything else FAST. I just built my third Uproar and put an O.S. .50 in it. Flew THAT three times today in winds of 10 mph on the GROUND; 23 mph gusts. Great fun. No plane of mine handles the wind better than the MT Extra, by the way. I've flown it in 27 mph gusts.
Second question: is the UCD 46 as much fun as the Twist--with ANY engine? I MIGHT consider a UCD 46 and put the Saito in it. The S-100 is SUPPOSED to be more power than the UCD 60 should have, but I found it doggy, unexciting.
Third question: what is more challenging, exciting than the Twist, the Uproar, and the Extra? I want a new plane for next month. [No electrics, please.]
Thanks,
Jack
