I didn't use the nylon pin hinges that came with the model, I used CA hinges instead.

When I was building mine, I accedently pulled the aileron cable fish-line out. I tied one of those metal hinges to it to feed it back through. That is the ONLY thing I used those metal hinges for. Most people I know use the CA hinges.
