First off...... The Walkera is designed for the main rotor to rotate clockwise ( not that it can't go
the other way ). A couple of reasons why it may spin counter clockwise is , the gyro is set to
the wrong direction, or the tail drive belt is slipping.
Yes the headspeed on a 36 is WAY faster than a Blade because the 36 is brushless. Just set your
throttle and pitch curves so it feels comfortable.
The factory gyro is kinda cheesy

, but it works OK for tail in basics.
The only reason that the motor would quit midflight is because of radio interference or the cheesy

Walkera ESC sensed a low voltage condition.
The flashing gyro LED indicates no radio ( tx ) reception.
