Default RE: Model Tech Magic 3D Ground Handling - Help Please

ORIGINAL: Ernie Misner

Are you holding up elevator until you get moving? That will create some drag on the skid and keep it going in more of a straight line.

Did you get so far out of shape that it started doing ground loops (spinning around like a buzz bomb!) yet?

Ernie
Yes to both . Currently flying it with TT.pro-36 and MAS 11x4. I love how it flies. Like a trainer on low rates, and lots of fun on high rates. Replaced tail skid with tail wheel at assembly. Rudder is on low rates on takeoff. I will re-install original landing gear and program in some flaps. That should get me airborne quickly. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I am successfully taking off other taildragers, but this thing is just goofy in a fun way. I may end up installing a TT.pro 46 with a 12x4 next and just hand launch it .

Thanks for the feedback.
