RE: BME 105, best prop
I'll cast a vote in the other direction. I have a 102 and am very happy with it. The 110 is really, truly an extreme engine. There isn't a lot of mass for the power it makes and the heat it needs to dissipate. If you work hard to overcome these limitations (which is easy enough to do, but some work) you still have to deal with the noise. The 110 is one of the loudest motors I've ever heard. It most certainly needs cans.
On the other hand, the 102/105 are solid motors and are IMAC legal with a stock muffler. My 102 likes a MSC 26x10, Mej 26x10 or Mej 24x12 3-blade. The Mej 27x10 is way, way bigger than the Mej 26x10 as for some reason they made this one very wide. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you wanted more than a 26x10 consider the Mej 28x10 which doesn't suffer from the extra wide blade.
