RE: BME 105, best prop
My vote would be a ZDZ-80 for a 22lb. plane or if you need more power, buy the new ZDZ-80 super booth are about half the price of a BME 110 only weight a few onces more than the 110 and less than the 105. With a MSC 25x10 today I tached 6200 rpm with the old ZDZ-80 pulls my Hanger 9 Edge 540 at 23 lbs. out of a hoover and out of sight. Starts easy and runs smooth easy install on most planes.
I have a 105 that I picked up on a good deal (hope it never needs service), and am putting it in a aeroworks edge540T 33% it will weight in at about 26lbs. when finished hope it has the power to pull it out of a hoover.
Service is the other issue that you need to consider. From all the posts I have read over the years it adds up to something like this 1. best service Desert Aircraft, 2. ZDZ second place, 3. BME last place, They just don't answer there phone, I've heard that BME is a small business and to busy to take calls. What logic "I'm to busy to take care of the people that have already spent money with me." I would say that sums it up. BUY SOMETHING else that you can get serviced.
This is my opinion I'm sure others will feel different
Thanks
