OK my friend bought the basic one (Rex X here in Australia) & it is a great buggy for the price you pay. once we cleaned all the grease out of the diffs & replaced it with diff oil & did a bit of work on the shocks it is a very good handling & durable buggy. one thing to do before you run it is to strip it down & put locktite on all the screws to stop them vibrating loose. the rex x isn't too far off the pace of other buggies on the track that cost a lot more, but it always comes down to the driver. one thing he did do was to replace the shock towers with the pro ones & pull the pullstart off to use a starter box. other than that i think for an entry level buggy you can't go wrong. it's not as fast as my mugen down the straight, but my engine cost more than his entire buggy. you don't need the top of the range buggy to go racing, especially if you're starting out. see if you like the hobby before blowing big hard earned dollars on it.
