RE: Another Beginner Build - Sig Somethin' Extra
I built a SE last winter and have a question for the expers here. I noticed the tank is way too low and even when raised as much as possible the top of the tank is about even with the carb spray bar. How did you correct this design flaw? The engine will never run right unless this is corrected. The only solution I could figure out was to mount engine on its side and I didn't want to do that so I decided to use the OS 61FX because it runs very well on most tank positions and tank pressures. This thing is a blast to fly with the 61. It handles like a pattern plane and flies very well slow or fast. I use the 13X4 prop and it does a good job of keeping the speed down.
