After reading the links JR posted, I understand the position they are in. However, I feel they should do one of the following:
1: let ALL AMA members (non club members) participate in sanctioned events who reside inside the 50 mile radius, or
2: Don't let ANY AMA members (non club members) participate in sanctioned events who reside inside the 50 mile radius

get rid of the "invitation only" clause, it makes them sound like a bunch of Biggots. JMHO.
