I regret to tell you that I am really disappointed in my Evo 26 gasser. I am getting only 7800 RPM with a 17-6 APC prop when the manual calls for 8500 using an 18-6.
I was really looking forward to the engine and much of my decision to buy it was based on Richard Hanson's article in 3d Flyer mag.
I am told that if I put a tuned pipe on it it will give me another 1,000 RPM but they are back ordered. When I called the Tech department the guy was indiffferent about it.
I had installed it in my Funtanta 90.
I broke it in exactly as the manual called for and it now has about 3 hours on it.
