Hitch-Hicker: The CSM 540 doesn't need to be HH, it just needs to self initialize for a few seconds befor you move it or the rudder stick, my servo is always trying to find center so it chatters and after powering up the gyro I know it is done initializing when I hear the servo start to chatter.

Also you make a good point with the gyro not being centered, I can recall the 540 being kind of a bear when I set it up the first time. I wasn't used to the set up functions and I can see how easy it would be not to get it centered properly.

You kinda have to read the instuctions about three times and try the set up on the gyro befor it makes sence on the first run.
