The info from MVVS /Evolution is typically developed from using mufflers which flow well.
The tuned pipe is so cheap and easy to install and use - I would never consider using the engine without it
18x8 Mejzlic - low 8000's and it runs great
Those wood props which run a bit faster on the ground, actually 3D better . My favorite is the Skorepa 18x8. Alloing it to rev easily also holds the temps down. The fuel I ran from day one is the Mobil recommended at 32-1 and the piston stilllooks perfect and the rod clearances are as when new - you can feel it just barely while slightly moving prop. .
If you are getting low performance, there is only one place to look for the problem --the mirror.

It is a terrific engine
