I agree with 'the collector'. You probably shouldnt break in the engine in the winter, or at least wait for a warmer day (at least 40 F) to break it in. But if you cant wait, I think "heat cycling" (ask about it or look it up) with tin foil around the cooling head would be the best way to do it if your going to do it in the winter.
