Bob - if you don't care about 3D, you will like the plane a lot... be careful when you align the tail.. mine was a few degrees off and I didn't catch it until after I glued it.. (DOH).. also you can probably ditch the tail wires - you most likely won't need them if you are not doing 3D. For $310... I might even be interested! That's cheap! It worth that amount for sure... even if it just sits in the box for a while...
I used to think 3D stunk too.... because I stunk as a 3D pilot!! .. .but I have been getting better so its more fun to mix it up. I still fly mostly general aerobatics (i.e. the plane is actually flying!)...
