Quick tip for determining CG on a new design. Just build a scaled down hand launch glider version. If you are close to the scale proportions, the cg on the more complex model will be very close to the scale position on the HLG. A lot cheaper and easier than trial and error flight test/repair on the serious model. It at least gives you a starting point.
