RE: VMAR Mig 21
I just finished assembly of the Phantom F4. The assembly and layout of this plane is a bit bizzare. With the location of the servo's and radio gear in the tail. The rudder servo has to push a pushrod close to 4 ft long and operate the rudder. With all this linkage drag the nose wheel has a centering problem. I think it will be alright but the other linkages have issues also. To exit where they do in the tail requires some odd bends to route there direction which lends itself to be a bit flimzy. Again I think it'll work but I like straight runs on pushrods. This is not my plane, I just did the build on it. If I were to do another I would replace the cleves's with something more quality. The ones supplied pinch the servo arms too much causing binding here also. Getting the control surfaces tweeked to operate smoothly required more work than the rest of the build. Of all the ARF's I've done this to me rates about a 6 on the 1-10 scale. It is unflown as of yet. Hope this helps, Walt
