Default RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T

Jmir.. the piece of wood is standard stickmount square stock/most hobby shops that carry planes will have a small balsa section with assorted shapes and sizes/id call local hobby shop to see if they have it in stock.. heres a link to some heavy duty stock http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/detail.aspx?ID=541 the stock i used was under $2.00 for 3 foot piece. the length is 3 and 1/4inch or like i marked 3 and 1 quarter inch is what i meant /this may very just a little depending on how you set your clearance for prop from cowl.. i was happy with that clearance on mine with that measurement . also if you use a higher grade outrunner that measurement will be much shorter for that type of install. the prop i use is a e-flite 12x6.. im using inrunner with gear box and it bolts rite on.. you didnt say what motor or gearbox .. if you run outrunner theres also a 12x6e by apc for outrunner use that bolts onto outrunner prop adapter no fuss. not sure if stock parkflyer prop hex is same size as e-flite gearbox size.. id use regular props anyway there available locally and have more choices. bsipro posted some nice pics with good detail for outrunner install.. everything remains stock except the motor cone which is cut to mount the motor stick. i'll be posting better pics of my install when i have time so anyone looking to upgrade will see good detail of both set ups and installs. typhoon reciever should work. good luck and let me know how you like the plane with more power.. if you can post pics to. thanks
