RE: Parkflyers Edge 540T
i was working on edge a little today. another mod that came to mind was relocating the elevator servo directly where the elevator push rod exits the rear of the fuselage. a sub micro would fit perfectly in this area and only require a little amount of cutting with an exacto for a factory looking fit. this would give much better tail response and you could get maximum deflection out of elevator then and also easy adjustments. other than time it would require a 3 to 6inch servo extension depending on servo used. this along with pull-pull rudder mod would really give the plane better response and maximum 3D capability if thats your flying style. not sure how much it would affect CG since my edge is flown with totally diferent set up than stock now(only stock part of plane now is fuselage) with both of these mods you would also eliminate the push rods.. they flex a lot and dont give precise response in both directions. if i had decent flying weather out here id do both these mods and let you know how test flights went and have video and step by step pictures. if anyone here trys these mods please post flight report and pics. thank you.
