ORIGINAL: blackiewrx
i know i need the motor itself and the speed controller thingy. is their anything else i need?? will the stock radio work with it?
[ul][*] Brushless motor,[*] Brushless speed control, and a[*] Receiver.

The radio may work but it will depend on the Receiver.

Interesting - I am curious who has and who has not had problems.
At first, I used the CM2080 in the KMI but it tended to get too hot for my liking and for what I was doing--running 3-cell lipos back-to-back. Others who still use the CM2080 are apparently using either fans or wrap around motor heat sinks and alloy motor mounts. To me, it is simpler just to drop in an AON 4900 and not need to worry about adding a fan, a full wrap around motor heat sink, or an alloy motor mount. I still have a CM2080 in my Xray M18 and had one in my AE RC18T up until I demo'd it at iHobbyExpo along with one of my KMIs.
