Ralph makes an awesome ignition for the G-62.
If you have a cup mount--he can install the ignition right inside it. It's a nice, clean install and works perfectly.
I like to keep my G-62 engines up in the 7000RPM range. Even more is not a bad thing. You can run them at 8000RPM and you won't damage them.
I don't know if it will turn a 24-8 that fast, but you'll get plenty of thrust from that prop.
