Default RE: racing in the dry state of arizona

There is a Fast Electric club right in Mesa, the Mesa Model Yacht Club. They run a number of different FE boats, including Crackerboxes. Pete Boyle and Pat McDonald are two of the members. Go here ( http://www.rumrunnerracing.com/feforums/ ) and join the site, then PM them for information. Or, give me your contact info and I'll contact them for you. Good guys, and Pat holds several National speed records.

The FE hobby has always been somewhat money-oriented, just like the nitro and gas racers. Two of the FE clubs I've been in had kid's classes and entry level classes, but the racing sport really is for guys with some $$. That said, two of our current members here in Texas are retired seniors and they are not rich by any means - but they have saved up, built their own hulls, scrounged equipment and have a BLAST racing with the rest of us.
