Still running the plastic spurs. Haven't had a problem so I don't see a need to change them.

So ideally what you are looking for is pinions that are harder than the stock Ofna pinions. That might be hard to do because Ofna pinions are about the hardest that I know of. I am sure somebody makes hardened Ofna pinions that might be harder than the stock ones but I have no idea who.

It might be an idea to go back to the plastic spurs, that is of course they can handle the power of the .28, they will wear faster than the Ofna pinions.

For a cover on the pinions\spur gears. I have never seen one.
