The balsa sheet only holds the battery pack in place and locks between the center stringer and the wing saddle doubler. It is held in with a drop of CA at either end to keep it in place.

The address for Vortec is: P.O. Box 469, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. I don't think they have a website or know a phone number for them. I got mine at the local hobby shop a year or so ago. Vortec also makes a drop mecanism and the instructions show two ways of activating it; one with a nyrod/cord arrangement and another with a belcrank. It means adding a hard point to the underside of the wing and routing the nyrod, but it can be easily matched with some Ultracote (even simulates a panel line when you're done).
