I saw that aircraft years ago when it first hit the market in Japan. I've seen it fly, thought it was cute for an ARF! But thats as far as it went.
Back about 20 years ago Byron's had a line of ducted fans. I had the F-16 a Freind had the Pitts. These had fiberglass fuses. We had to sheet the wings and stabs and install the bulkheads.
They were classified a kit: I classified them as 1/2 kits
Then there were real kits: Guillows, Sterling, Geiske, Cleveland, Topflight, Sig. etc:
Scratch: You design an aircraft and start cutting build it and fly it.
ARF or ARC: ARF: pre-constructed assembly required amount of time or difficulty doesn't matter. Covering installed painting may be required.
ARC: pre-constructed, covering and painting required, some assembly required.
